Ndakina - Patrick Côté

Ndakina is the name given by the Abenakis to their vast territory. This book relates the history of this great nation, its way of life and its fight to survive the encroachment of the colonists, particularly in New England. Faithful allies of the French, the Abenaki protected the border of New France from English and Iroquois incursions for nearly a century, earning themselves the nickname “guardian angels of the French” in America.
