ᓭᒪᓂᖅ ᓯᕗᒧᑦ (Saimaniq Sivumut)

Saimaniq Sivumut... which means “peace, towards the future”, celebrates the beauty and richness of Inuit culture through original compositions, katajjaq, Inuit drumming and Ayaya singing.

This project is full of encounters between Arabic polyrhythms, Japanese and Irish flutes, electronic music and other influences. This alchemy creates a celebration of Inuit art through the prism of creativity without borders.

Under the artistic direction of composer Katia Makdissi-Warren, Saimaniq Sivumut invites you on a journey in the company of indigenous artists and co-directors Lydia Etok and Nina Segalowitz, singer Hélène Martel, as well as musicians Bertil Schulrabe, Michel Dubeau, Eryk Warren and Carla Antoun.
